A lady from Leeds called Maria was on holiday with her family in Mexico and met Ole (the founder of isa). They got to know each other and as a result she attended an isa Experience in the States. She went on to take her children to the YPE. She came back to England and went back to work as a TV producer in Leeds. The more she thought about it the more she realised that the YPE would make a great TV documentary. She presented it to her colleagues and they agreed.   A condition of making the documentary was that the film crew came to the isa Experience. They made the documentary and when they returned home they were so impressed and inspired by their experience that they came back determined to introduce it into the UK. They wanted to let their friends and family do it too. They called Ole and he agreed that if costs could be covered, he would come. They did – so he came. That was in 1986 and it has run here about every 6 weeks since then – all by word of mouth. Isa has grown in the UK and now has a number of events running each year, with a strong community of isa “graduates” and assistants the length and breadth of the country.

The Completion Series runs over 6 sessions. The dates are:

Session 1: Tuesday 7 February 2012, (6.45pm registration)

The above sessions start at 7.00pm and finish around 10.30pm

Session 5: Saturday morning 3 March starting at 9.30am
Session 6: Saturday afternoon 3 March starting at 2.00pm

Registration and Cost

The isa Experience fee is £360 (10% discount if paid 3 weeks before: £324). A place may be reserved with a £50 nonrefundable deposit. There is also a discounted rate for couples of £612. The fee to review the isa Experience is £120.

Please note that these fees take account of the VAT increase to 20% in January 2011.

Other isa Events

Ole has written a number of other seminars, which either lead on from the Experience or develop some of the themes introduced there. Click here for more information.

These events are only available to people who have completed the isa Experience.

Pub Nights

Not just a night at the pub, also an opportunity to meet up with people who have been to the isa Experience and to have a good time.

The Post Experience

Two weeks after each Experience, an evening seminar called the Post Experience is held, where participants from the Experience get together again and share how it’s been for them since the weekend. It’s a wonderful event and always confirms how significant a weekend it was for the participants. You can read what some of them say on the Home Page.

In the south, the Post Experience takes place at The Hotel Russell.   In the north, they take place at The Campanile Bradford.

Information Evenings

About 3 weeks before each Experience, we hold information sessions where people who want to know more about the isa Experience can ask questions and talk to isa graduates. Please e-mail us at uk@isaexperience.com to find out when the next one is taking place or call Maggie on 01524 833340.
