You may choose challenge activities at an additional cost. Spaces are limited and will be filled on a “first come, first serve” basis.
The following activities are available. Costs and payment instructions will be advised closer to the date.
- Canoe/Kayak: This is one of the most popular and enjoyable activities at the Academy. Canoe/kayak is conducted on Narrabeen Lake, which is accessed directly from the centre. Participants will receive a safety briefing and safety equipment from qualified staff prior to paddling. The group may then either remain in the bay area or paddle together as a group on an expedition with Academy staff supervision.
- High Ropes Course: This is a ‘challenge by choice’ activity and requires a certain level of physical fitness and the ability to comprehend detailed safety measures. At times the activity can be very challenging, both physically and emotionally. Each course has varying height levels to climb, with the instructor determining the most suitable for each specific group. Participants are briefed on safety equipment and safety prior to completing the course. If the client group comprises of children, a supervising adult is required to accompany the group for the duration of the session.
- Rock climbing: A great team activity. Participants can choose a path up the 12-metre wall and challenge each other to varying heights. For children’s groups a supervising adult will be required to accompany the group for the duration of their session.
- Talent Show: There will be a Talent Show on Saturday night. If you would like to share your musical or other talent with us, please let us know as soon as possible so we can put you in the schedule!
